My Life on This Big Blue Ball
I started life on this planet in the small town of Bristol, Pennsylvania, USA. Shortly after entering this world, my family moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico. I grew  up on the beaches of the Caribbean, which fostered my love of the ocean and all things under the waves.
During seventh  grade, we packed our bags and headed off to spend the next five years in Athens, Greece. I thoroughly enjoyed my time traveling throughout the Mediterranean, visiting countries and experiencing many different cultures.

I attended Michigan State University, majoring in telecommunications. While there, I worked at Lansing's country music station, first in the administrative section, then to on-air programming after a couple years.
After graduating from MSU, I procured a position at a television broadcasting company in Binghamton, New York. I then met my wife, who lived in Portland, Maine, and moved there after a couple years.
After fifteen years of living in Portland, my wife, also a third culture kid who grew up in Greece and Afghanistan, and I decided that we wanted to move back overseas. We put together a five-year plan to make that possible.  I went back to school, getting a masters in elementary education; worked the requisite two years stateside; and then off to Stavanger, Norway.

After taking in the cultures of Scandinavia and Northern Europe, we packed our bags again for a new adventure in the Middle East, arriving in Muscat, Oman in the scorching heat of August.
I had the opportunity to further my love of the deep by becoming a certified diver while visiting Dahab, Egypt on the Red Sea.  I continue to advance my level of certification and am now a qualified Rescue Diver and Emergency First Responder.

After a few years of desert-by-the-sea living, we took to the breezy shores of the Caribbean and now reside on the island of Grand Cayman, part of the British West Indies.  I continue feeding my desire for the deep blue sea, and have infected others with this passion by starting a dive club at the school.

Other activities that keep me busy are DIY projects around the house, working on my 1974 MG Midget during the summers, and fishing with my dad.
